PROVINCIAL - CANADA BUSINESS PROGRAMS
In Canada, every Province possesses its entrepreneur programs and follows a step-wise procedure to help the candidate obtain the Permanent Resident Status. The Provincial business immigration programs allow a foreign national to set up a new business in Canada’s different provinces. Under these programs, the applicant submits an expression of interest to receive an invitation to apply. The majority of the provincial business immigration programs demand active engagement in the management of the business based on the particular investment and job creation.
Programs Summary
Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSNP)
The Nova Scotia Entrepreneur program is meant for candidates who possess business ownership or senior management experience. They are supposed to live in Nova Scotia and either establish a new business or purchase an existing one. The candidate is also required to participate in the chronic management of that business actively.
Under the NSNP, the candidates are initially issued a temporary work permit before applying for permanent resident status after getting involved in a business for at least one year. The program uses the expression of interest format. The candidates whose profile is in the EE pool are invited to apply for NSNP if their profile meets the eligibility criteria.
Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP)
The PEI Provincial Nominee Program is known for issuing the Permanent Residency Status to the foreign nationals who have set up or established a business in Prince Edward Island. Moreover, the PEI PNP allows the eligible candidates to come to Prince Edward Island on a temporary work permit and then establish a business there.
According to the program, if the candidate can successfully manage the business for at least one year, the applicant will receive the direct provincial nomination for permanent residence.
