BC PNP Update For International Students

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is undergoing significant changes to accommodate international students better. As announced in March 2024, the program will replace the existing International Graduate (IG) stream with three new streams.

The final invitations to apply (ITAs) for the IG stream were issued on November 26, 2024, marking the closure of this category. Applicants who were not invited have been removed from the pool, and the BC PNP is expected to announce the launch date for the new student-focused streams soon. These updates signal a shift toward more tailored opportunities for international students seeking permanent residency in British Columbia.

What is the BC PNP?

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program helps employers meet labour market demands by inviting skilled workers, graduates, and other categories to apply for permanent residence. The BC PNP is a vital immigration pathway for skilled workers aiming to settle in British Columbia.
